Meet Isaac, an energetic 9-year-old whose love for reading has found a perfect match in The Campfire Gang series. In a recent phone call between Isaac and the author of The Campfire Gang, Roy Smith, he shared some delightful insights about his favorite characters and moments from the series.

Isaac’s Favorites:

  • Favorite Hobby: Reading! Isaac loves exploring exciting worlds through books. He also enjoys drawing the characters from The Campfire Gang, with the Butcher Bear and Bat Birds being his go-to creations.
  • Favorite Character: Toby! According to Isaac, “He’s funny and he’s a doer,” making Toby an instant favorite.
  • Favorite Book: The 7th book, Miracles, Mazes and Memories, is Isaac’s all-time favorite. He couldn’t stop laughing while reading, especially during the part where the boys fall into a heap of dung. Roy and Isaac shared a giggle session, bonding over the humor of dinosaur poop.
  • Memorable Moments: Isaac burst into laughter when talking about BB’s creative way of crossing the Impossible River. Farts are always funny!
  • Favorite Lizlard Name: Of all the comical Lizlard names, Tinkerbutt takes the prize as Isaac’s favorite.

Inspired by his conversation with Isaac, author Roy Smith now extends a special invitation to fans who want to share in the laughter over dinosaur poop or marvel at the gang’s clever antics.
